Imation product development processes include regulatory review to ensure products and materials do not create risk to the health and safety of our customers, employees or the general public. Regulatory changes are tracked to keep Imation ahead of the regulatory curve.

Magnetic Tape and Energy Savings

Magnetic tape drives use very little power when not reading or writing cartridges. Also, the cartridges require no power at all when residing in library. This is an energy savings advantage over disk drives, which continue to spin and need to be powered and cooled, whether the drive is in use or not.

Packaging Initiatives 

Imation views product packaging as an opportunity to conserve resources, and is an active promoter of product and packaging recycling.
